Question RE: Selling Character

Hi all. I tried searching, but couldn't find an answer. If that has been answered already, please direct me to that post. Thx.

I want to sell a character or two, but the price defaults to a minimum amount of coins based on gear/inventory/etc. I tried taking a few things off and that dropped the price a bit.

My question is, how are people selling their characters for 30 coins? Are they refunding coins after the sale (i.e., sale price 90. buyer pays 90, seller gifts back 60)? Is there something I'm missing? Thanks.

BoE items don't add to the price. So if the character has only BoE items, it can be sold for 30 coins.
