As the title suggests, I have a small technical problem with the game freezing on random occasions. I am certain, that the problem is somewhere on my side, but I have no clue where it is or what I should do, in order to fix it. I don't think the issue lies in my internet connection, because I am using a relative fast one:
So, do you have any tips for me? Your help will be greately appreciated. I am looking forward to joining serious raids and I don't want to screw my team just because my game freezes for a while.
This has been me lately too. Game will freeze for anywhere from 1-10 seconds every minute or so randomly. I can't figure out what it could be. It just started doing this recently like in the past week. My latency and framerates have always been fine. I'm not sure what could be causing it. Anyone have any ideas?
Use the old client if you don't use already. Or revert back to old models from WoD models.
Reverting to old models can be done by following these simple steps:
1. Open WoW folder
2. Open the Data folder.
3. Delete the patch-w.mpq file.
4. Open the enUS folder.
5. Delete the patch-enUS-w.mpq file.
Get Large Address Aware and use it on your WoW.exe (read & follow the instructions).
If the problem still exists, disable all addons. If no crashing occurs, enable one or two addons at a time to find out what addon causes you crashes.

also regards your tip on how I can revert to the old wow models, right? If this is the case, I might disappoint you, as I am not using any WoD models and I've always played on the old client. I think the screen freezes occur from the gs addon - I've read somewhere in the past, that this addon caused some issues to other people as well - but I remember getting similar game crashes even BEFORE installing the addons. Sooo :/
[edit] But ty again for your tips. I will disable some addons, whenever I raid/join rdf runs, in order to minimize the risk of getting random game freezes.
