WotLK Missing gold after server reset

Hello !
After the server restarted today (Lordearon), I went away for a few hours and when I came back my character had 2500 gold lacking, i got a automatic (i suppose) mail from staff with these in, but it didn't work when i clicked on it, apparently ?

Staff doesn't send gold to players, are you sure it wasn't a COD scam that actually took your 2500 gold? Did it ask you to confirm when you took the gold?

Yes thanks, maybe I went a bit fast...
After that server restart I didn't assume that it could be some scam.

The letter I got says :
"Dear player Lordaeron! The administration of the server is grateful for the support of our project and in gratitude gives you 2500 gold and a chest with rare artifacts"
There was only an "?" item indicating 2500g, i just clicked without asking more questions, i feel like an ***** now, of course admins to send anything like that...

So I guess i can forget about that gold, I had only 2900, now I have to get it all over again...

Yep, it's a scam, GMs don't give out gold. You can and should report the player just to get them banned so they don't scam more people.
