1. Changing sounds isn't working

I've been editing the game files the same way I did back in the day of WotLK and it isn't working, at all. I've tried multiple ways of fixing the issue and this idea is the last on my checklist.

Does the fact that this WotLK version uses WoD models have any impact on the way the game reads all the files? Would this be effecting the way the game reads sound files?

  2. There's no need to edit MPQ files, you can just create the files and they will have priority over the MPQ files. For example, to silence the stupid bikes, I created two empty files called:

    Code:
    C:\WoW folder\Data\Sound\Vehicles\MotorcycleVehicle\MotorcycleVehicleStand.wav
    C:\WoW folder\Data\Sound\Vehicles\MotorcycleVehicle\MotorcycleVehicleWalkRun_.wav
    It works fine.

  3. I did try doing this. I was using .ogg files will it work if I change them to .wav do you reckon?

  4. They have to have the same exact name, including extension.

  5. On the forums I was looking on and the .txt file I downloaded that documented all the sound files it was .ogg but I changed it to .wav and removed the file it was in and now it seems to be working, time to revamp every sound in the whole game.
