Realms Adaptive mount speeds?

So, it's basically like the way Cataclysm did. Increasing the original speed of all mounts after learning a higher riding skill, so you can ride even those mounts that look good to you without worrying about their slower speed. Of course, unlike Cataclysm, Master riding would not be available, you would only get it after unlocking a 310% mount (unless you would be okay with having it unlockable by buying aswell for Icecrown and Outland players). I don't know if someone suggested it already, but I really liked that system in Cataclysm and it would be really nice to see it here too.

I don't feel like looking too much into this but if it could be made work it would be an ugly, tremendous hack. But transmogging is also an ugly, tremendous hack that has proven to be quite popular, so what can I say.

I don't know who would even rebel against such change. I mean, who doesn't have 280% mounts that look better for them, but they don't want to use it over the 310% mounts? It would atleast fix the problem Cataclysm already fixed for people. Maybe if the original tooltip would say it's a 150% mount while travelling at a 310% speed, it would annoy people, but I can't think for other reasons people would hate such change.

part of that's actually a bug that hasn't been fixed yet, if you own a 310% mount, I think at least variable skill mounts are supposed to get 310% too (like headless horseman)

Sure, but not all. The idea would be here that EVERY mount would gain the speed of your highest riding skill, not only certain mounts. Of course, stuffs like the Magic Broom should be an exception.

Would be great if you guys did Promo's to obtain Account-Wide mounts, like Celestial Steed. Instead of 30 coins for one, pay 50 to receive it on all alts.
