1. Most FUN pve DPS spec - Lordaereon [WOTLK}?

Hey guys, I know this topic is controversial however my question might not exactly be so hear me out.

For me personally the most fun dps pve spec is the one that requires the most knowledge, skill, hard rotation, thinking ahead, etc ....
Basically the more brain requiring the dps spec is the more I like it or enjoy it.

Having said that, can some near BIS people with multiple chars weigh in and explain what dps spec they think takes the cake for the most brain requiring dps spec in wotlk? Also, please explain your reasoning behind it. Give your top 5!

    Thank you!

  2. I think fire mage at the end game is up there.

For melee, they require some more movement sometimes (though you can argue that for ranged dps too, as movement is important for all), but getting behind players in general to increase hit chance is another thing to do. Again, not inherently hard, but keep going and you get a list of things to do that become second nature for pros.

WoW is old now though, and not meant to be that challenging, especially icecrown icc 25 hc being farmed regularly now, and it was buffed in retail with that 30%.

But I guess speaking of lordaeron, the class that requires a lot of movement, more buttons to press, mana/energy management, and raid awareness to do besides tunneling boss has the most challenge. That being said, your definition of fun isn't everyones.

If you are looking for suggestion of a class to play,. you'll only know by trying them all out and figuring which works best for you. They're mostly all the same in the end besides ranged vs melee. I'd say heal is a lot more challenging.

    which 1 is that?

  4. feral dudu? its so much fun to f*ck your rotation and procs bcs u need to innervate/cbress someone :D

  5. Feral druid and frost dk are only real hard ones I believe because you have a small time frame to get everything done and if you mess up your rotation and priority abilities(dots, procs, cooldowns) with bad timing or boss interruption, your dps collapses because you have to reapply dots and wait for certain abilities to reset so it is very punishing. Also when you're melee its easy to have these issues become even worse if you have to move, get stunned from a boss mechanic or have to prioritize killing something else. For example, as a DK if you run to kill a bone spike on marrowgar, or from defile on LK you can lose your diseases and have to reapply your diseases which messes up your entire rotation because you likely have unspent runic power so if you need to re-apply diseases you'll hit the runic power cap which causes you to waste it. Also while moving you could've had unspent death runes which are now wasted and forces you adjust your rotation. Being melee can be discriminatory, many guilds will bring more RDPS for fights because they don't really suffer from this weakness. But yeah most other specializations in the game have a clear basic rotation of 1-4 abilities with maybe the occasional single proc. Casters in general are easier because you spend most your time spamming 1-2 abilities and waiting for cast time and they get back to dpsing the boss nearly instantly if anything happens

  6. Easily Feral dps is the most to micro manage between debuffs, buffs, procs etc. The payoff when your playing it well tho is super strong single target and arguably the strongest AOE burst from any class under the right circumstance, you can easily get upwards of 200k -300k dps on Sindy Trash as an example assuming you survive.

  7. If you don't want to be first in the dps chart, then yeah play whatever you like/enjoy. I myself play Rogue combat but with daggers. I lose a bit of dps but I haven't got any other weapons.
