1. Dropping MS during raid...

    Hi

I need your help about my problems.... Everytime i joined/doing raid 10/25 man i always drop to 17k ms during boss time.. I already filed a ticket and they response that i need to remove addons, WOD and i replace the old WOTLK file, but nothing change i'm still lagging.. i already click reduce input lag from video setting. BUT, when i'm in an area (dalaran, thunderbluff, ogrimmar, etc) my ms back to normal (200+ms)... i really dont know now what to do. I cant even play well with this lag.

    Thank you in advance.

  2. That's odd - your latency should be higher in the city, as it consume more traffic. (More people, NPCs, objects to load).

Do you use DMB addon for raiding? I wonder if just getting fresh one from another source will help.
Things such as WoD models shouldn't affect your connectivity, as those files are local and not web-based.

You sure its latency and not FPS (Frames per second)? Is it actual lag-lag, like players running on the same spot or game actually freezes?

  3. Thank you for the reply, yes its latency cause i have no problems on FPS... now i'm gonna try to clear my cache and wtf folder.

I'm using DBM addon, but i dont know how to re-fresh dbm addon.

Yes, its no joke at all that when i was in raid (ICC 25) my ms drops at 10k at start, need to leave and when i get back to dalaran my ms back smoothly 200+ .. i really dont know what's the cause.

  4. If your connection realy is not problem, i would suggest start everything from start. Get fresh WOTLK client without any models or other ****s, get fresh addons ( molten forums addon list seems to be working just fine ) and see if thats help. I think if that wont work, its connection or hardware issue

  5. ping your router in background and join a game to get that huge ping

see if you get huge loss and ping to your router during raid, if you do reinstall your network driver, restart your router, disconnect phones and stuff from your wifi(too many devices on same channel), get wired connection if you dont have it

if you get normal ping during that, mean its something with your game(do waht sampiks said) or somthing beyond your router(contact ISP)

  6. Thank you for the replies guys, i appreciate it. As for the router/modem, it runs pretty well. i can play other online games like steam and ps4 and i have no problem at all only in warmane server got problem.

I'll need to reinstall again the files from the start.. i'll let you know if it works.

    Thank you again.

  7. As far as I know, instances run in a different server. They don't share the same world server. Maybe you are having bad routing to it. Try clearing your DNS cache. Do the following commands in the Windows command line:
    ipconfig /flushdns

  8. It could be from a variety of things.

If you're cpu bound, it could cause throttleing of your ping.

  9. Thank you guys for sharing/help. Ok this is what i did..

    1. I re-install again WOTLK (Old) version
    2. i also use addons (Bagnon, Gathered)
    3. When doing raid, i clear my cache, click "Reduce input lag", set to low resolution (although my video card is 1050ti to make sure of it) and clearing my DNS cache

Everythings is doing fine i can raid well but there's is one thing i have problem is the time .. i got lag when it starts at 12:00 Realm Time.. yes when i'm at Dalaran i got almost 3000+ ms as well as doing raid gets drop to 16k ms (on realm time) but it backs to normal when its 13:00 Realm Time. I've observe this since 4 days straight. I've check everything. my router, connection is runs pretty well.

Can you help me again on this matter?

    Thanks in advance

  10. ms(ping) in 99.99% cases is related to your internet connection. You can have best PC in the world and you will still lag if you have bad internet connection.
I simply can not see how WoW client options or addons can influence it to that extreme degree. "Reduce input lag" is purely visual(related to frames and stutters - processing power of your PC), not internet connection(or its settings).

On other times your connection is allright and you do not have huge ms, that happens only in that 12-13 time?

Maybe that is time when your PC, mobile, toaster or some other device on your net is updating? But if that stops happening exactly on the time, precisely by the second..? Magic, maybe?

If your router is running well, that means it has very low ping to it, even when you are lagging at obscene high ping in-game? If that is the case it really means your outgoing connection is overloaded(someone, something is using up traffic) while your internal net is all good as it should be and is expected.

    Solutions:
Check devices connected to your router - kick off any that are not supposed to be there.
Check if any of your devices are set to update during your play time.
Call your ISP and ask if they are doing maintenance or something during that one hour.

That is assuming you have it bad only during that one hour and all the rest of time you raid normally.

Happens only in 12 - 13 realm time? yes.. it always happens. When I stopped moving (just chat) inside dungeon 10 or 25.. it goes smoothly, but if we start dpsing/healing on raid ms drops at 10k. Its not a joke..

I can't find any solution.. so the only thing i can play well is waiting til ms back to normal (around 10 pm on my local time) which is not good.

Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.
