If pvp is crossrealm that makes leveling and gearing legit pointless correct? I spend 1-2 months leveling and gearing just to face people who are instant level 80 w/ gear and can buy gear? I could also do that but then the fun is removed from it all.. but its also not fun investing time for no reason lol.. I was super pumped to play here but that kinda killed it for me. I rolled lordaeron to be legit and then realized im just gonna face all full geared pay to win toons?

That's why i don't do pvp here at all. If i'm going pvp, that's because I gank people not arenas/battleground.
- Many donors and server is old so everybody has shadowmourne, but we assume that 99% of people got it via donation.
- Wrathful gear on everybody.
- Horde always losing bg unless you play at night or some specific time.
All in all, this also happens in pve scene, so play whatever you like.

1) Not 99% amount have SM, that's bull****. And mamy ppl obtaining it via quest nowadays.
2) a lot of wrathful, that's true. But tbh getting wf isn't that hard to get and server is indeed kinda old
3) im playing mercenary mode in central eu time. Im alliance, but like 7/10 bgs im joining are at horde. Honestly Im glad, cause I win more bgs while Im playing horde. Ally is usually bunch of palas/wars, if they are not lucky enough to get 3 heals, horde diversed team wins usually.
It may be hard to start with pve gear in bg, specially as meele. But far from impossible. As a ranged, they are freaking awesome in bg. Hunters, casters does increadible job in bg, and as far as I know, they don't have SM equipped. Not saying about arenas, but world pvp/bg - ranged all the way

The gear is super easy to get which a lot of you newbs don't seem to understand. You can get 6k gearscore in 1-2 months easy. The only pvp gear thats hard to get is the shoulders which requires 2k 3v3 rating (several people just use PvE shoulders) and the helmet at 1950 2v2. Otherwise all the set gear is 1600 or lower and quite easy to get. PvE gear wise, you can get non-heroic weapons/trinkets which are near BiS and super easy to get in some Alt Run raid with a guild. Ofc everyone on the server has the gear, the server has been around for many years.

Assuming that you are able to reach a 1600 rating in 2s (which is already quite unrealistic for a new player because half of the teams are BiS geared on that rating) then you get around 350 arena points per week. The wrathful chest alone cost already 2370 arena points. So it requires you 7 weeks to get only a single set piece.
It's absolute unrealistic to assume that you can reach 6k gs in 1-2months w/o donating.
Maybe thats possible in PvE when you have a guild that carries you every week through ICC hc but thats about it.

Add 175 arena point each week for completing daily rbg. So chest would be aquirable after 5 weeks + you'll have some spare points. (I'm not saying that u can get fully geared in 2 months, just correcting)

Lordearon had its own bracket for years and many people there are already fully geared, you are just 5 years late for the party. Also Lord is mostly PVE players oriented who was not that interested in PVP, their arena bracket was pretty much dead. I had Hunter and DK lv 80 there and i remember even at 1500 rating i was playing mostly vs same teams over and over, cant even imagine how dead bracket would be at high rating. At the end i sold both my chars and use the coins to fund my icecrown chars. Back then however Lordearon had around 3k pop and now is 10k+, so you can make the argument that today cross-realm is not needed for them anymore. I guess i will argee that in current state is better to have non cash shop PVP bracket. TO be fair if that happen i may buy lv 80 again on Lord and play there as well ( no chance i am leveling again).
