2 quick questions-

1. If the armor items in the bags also take dmg when u die is there a point to unequip yuor armor when u about to die?

2. are DOTs count as killing blow?

1. Items in the bags do not take durability damage when you die, however you can't equip/unequip items during combat except for weapons.
2. Yes, but one of your DoT ticks must do the killing blow.

Maybe you wore them when you took damage then swapped them out in bad and forgot to repair
