Hey,
So the idea is relatively simple: Players are able to remove "light" BANS by paying Gold.
Cost could be 2'000 gold per day, for example:
Player is banned for 5 days, reason disrupting gameplay, he can go, select char and pay fine for his transgression from his character on that account, amount of 10'000.
Helps to drain out gold from server, players learn their lesson, doubt anything would be worth to break rules for that amount of gold. Repeat offenders could have increased rate to pay, example, 3'000 gold per removed day.
Could be applicable to only certain kind of "light" bans, maybe maximum of 10 days could be removed.
Bans would lose their purpose if this was introduced. The point of the ban is to make you think twice before you do an offense and break the rules, not to get away with it if you have gold.
This is a bad idea. This would create small societies of *****s who would intentionally break the rules (because there's nothing better to do) and pay their way out of it. Just take a look at our judicial system. Petty criminals are usually released because they pay the buck and do it again the next day.
I never heard of anyone going to jail because they took a public piss. I remember I got fined 15 euros or something. Didnt do it again tough and not because it was cheap to get out of it.
I doubt anyone would ninja few blues in dungeon just because they could pay 10k to get out of it, and pay 15k next time.
I think this would be beneficial to all sides, less work for staff on appeals, better economy and people can still get "punished". How many of those who NEED on blues in dungens have 10 spare thousand gold? At best they could shave 1-2 days off.

You DOUBT? therefore they won't? you're promoting a pay-to-get-out-of-jail card, which people WILL use, regardless of how much you doubt it.
You also have to understand, that not everyone is as reasonable as you. If you looked at the posts on this forum alone, you would realize what a horrible idea this is. You're also very stuck on this "some blues" thing. People will not use it to loot blues from a dungeon, they'll use it to get over barriers that will benefit them long term, or annoy people long term.
Well idea IS to use it. Mostly for first-time offenders/mistakes, I think paying 10k for going afk in RDF is damn good lesson.
And scaling would prevent "just buy your way out of it", first time to remove 5 days would be 10k, and third time it would be 22.5k. Or adjust the rates to whatever, double it with each offense or simply option is available only on first time offense.
Or I'm missing something here and everyone has 100k gold per day incoming, you both saying that people would just bail out of bans 10 times a day like its nothing?

What we're saying is: Criminals thrive on society's weakness to forgive, and they will abuse it. It's just that simple.
maybe for coins, but only coins that you actually purchased. not ones obtained by any other means. if your going to pay to reduce a ban, it should cost you real money imo.
Here is scenarios:
I got into RDF and accidentally NEED on something. I try to give item to whoever needs it, doesnt matter, I get banned for 5 days. I don't go into RDF taking 50 screenshots, so I dont have anything even if my appeal is reviewed before it expires. I have option to pay 10k fine for my mistake and get back into game.
I have no idea what kind of items I need, so I see something that gives some + stats, so I guess I NEED. Some other player starts to freak out and wants to trick me into giving him item, but its better than mine wth. I get banned for 5 days. I find out that I was wrong and have my hard earned 4k while I was leveling, so I can get back into game 2 days earlier.
I will even express my opinion that 99% of bans for dungeon ninja are exactly like these scenarios.
I'm not talking about bans for scamming, botting, etc.

Fine /fʌɪn/ noun
noun: fine; plural noun: fines
a sum of money exacted as a penalty by a court of law or other authority.
"a parking fine"
You don't think people wouldn't think twice on needing 100g BoE ring in RDF? If they even want to get a day off of the ban, it's going to cost them 2000 gold. That's 20 times the amount they "gained" from needing on an item, and that's only taking off a day from their ban.
And as angrylol said, this would only be applicable to short bans (RDF ninja/afk, game disruption etc.)

Either it would be low and have no effect or high and people would just wait the short ban instead of paying anything, all based on what's low or high for each player.
