WotLK 3.3.5a client (old models) escape key issues

When using the escape key to clear my target it opens up the game menu. Has anyone else experienced this or have a fix?

Do you have moveanything perhaps?

No I do not. This issue has occurred from the beginning with no addons. It's the client I downloaded from warmane. I have confirmed this is happening to multiple people.

Maybe you have sticky targeting enabled? Not sure if it affects escape button but I think it does.

The issue still occurs with Sticky Targeting enabled or disabled.

Definitely not how it's supposed to work based on every other WoW client I've ever played on

EDIT: I have used sticky targeting on every single client for the reason being I don't like my target clearing by accident because I do alot of camera and movement control with my mouse. It even specifically says to clear your target using ESC in the sticky targeting tool-tip. Why would they have the game menu open with that behavior, especially when you can close/clear every other UI element with escape without the game menu opening?

Confirmed this issue is only with Warmane clients.

I too had this issue and thought I was going nuts. I created a Clear Target macro and bound it to my ESC key, and rebound Menu to Shift-Esc. Slightly annoying but it's a workaround.

Anyone managed to find a more convenient solution? I tend to use esc to stop casting as well as for clearing targets so NopeGuy's soltution kinda leaves me hanging halfway.

Same problem. Fortunately i have no issues with casting but target bug is pissing me off. Also many of my guild members have the same bug.
I tried:
- clear cache;
- disabling addons;
- reinstall client and run the game without any addons;
- reset controls;
- bind menu to another key;
- do everything above on another computer.

I hope our great support team will help us :)
