today i experienced problem with client. I spent like 4 hours trying to solve this problem, literally tried everything i could find. Nothing helped. This is what i found in Errors folder because game didnt even start.
This application has encountered a critical error:
ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal Exception
Program: C:\Downloads\Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a (wod models)\Wow.exe
Exception: 0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 0023:065017A8

When i was about to give up, someone told me to create new windows user account which i was thinking about as stupid idea. So i tried that and it worked, so i can use that on clear windows account. Is there anything i can do with that? Seems like problem is somehow connected to my main windows user account but have no clue what to do. Is there anything i can reset or something? Game folder is ok since it can be run without a problem.
Have you tried deleting the whole client and reinstalling the latest one, If already have your main windows user account could have a firewall blocking your WoW from working. That could be the problem and the reason it says "(Access_Violation)"
Well since i run game just from downloaded folder, there is nothing i can reinstall. Anyway i tried to move folder, download it again, download old client, basicly everything i found across like first 20 pages of google search. I have firewall off as well.
I recommend using the WotLK (old) client, as it's more stable.
I also recommend downloading and using Large Address Aware to allow your WoW.exe to use more than 2 GB of RAM.
99% of the game crashes can be prevented with these two simple methods.
As an extra measure, you could/should stop torrenting it, and move it to more appropriate folder to e.g. your typical Program Files -folder.
