Reduce mob and object respawn time in Northrend

The current mob and object respawn time in Northrend especially in entry level areas is too high.

In Outland interactable quest objects respawn instantly. They have 2-5 minute respawn time in Northrend.

Even the most basic mobs have 5 minute respawn meaning every single quest turns into 20+ minutes long wait.

Just in last 2 hours 80% of my questing time was spent waiting for mobs to respawn.

edit: this was regarding Frostmourne realm

There's usually more than one mob of that kind. You don't have to wait for the same one to respawn.
Frostmourne has the rate increased (due to lots of people leveling at the same time) and now there's threads like http://forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=420599
Leveling on icecrown is ok unless it's a crowded zone, then maybe move or start competing.

I am talking about Frostmourne realm.

Every Northrend zone is crowded. It took me almost 30 minutes to do one of the first Northrend entry quests today.

This is unnaceptable for fast progression realm.

I really don't understand the issue you're having with this. An increased rate in experience and professions doesn't mean you should be able to finish every quest in 2 minutes. It is completely normal that quests and mobs are contested on a fresh and populated Server like Frostmourne. This is part of the game in my opinion, and it makes for a fun environment where players have to group up and interact with eachother to make progress, instead of 5 people queing up for a single mob to finish a quest on their own.

If all you want is reaching lvl 80 as fast as possible, theres many other ways to do that instead of waiting 30 minutes to finish an entry quest in one of the Northrend zones. You could que up for a Dungeon and come back later. Or simply kill 100 other random mobs while waiting for other people to finish your quest, for example.

    Cheers!

Frostmourne season lasts 3 months. If you play around 2 hours every day with current respawn rates, it will take you around 3 weeks to hit max level which is almost 25% of entire season. This also puts you behind all other players who leveled with 1 min respawn timers. I basically spend extra15-20 hours waiting for NPC to respawn instead of progressing endgame content.

One RHC takes around 10-15 minute to complete. Looting 15 items at level 70 quest took me 30 minutes. This should never be the case.

Even in this video https://youtu.be/ESxvAKWkqf0?t=491 the biggest issue was how long it took to complete trivial quest. Now this applies to half of Northrend quests.

Around 40-50% of Northrend quests are not completable in group. Ironically questing with a friend doubled the average time to complete non-kill quests. Not to mention that 80% of them are doable by both factions.

I would still have to wait 30 minutes to complete the quest in order to unlock next 8 quests in the chain.

If you're playing 2 hours per day I can already tell you that a fast progression realm with buffed content.
Get over it, move to less crowded quests or become competitive.

You don't need 3 weeks to hit level 80 if you're playing 2 hours per day, unless you're doing it wrong. If you were to que for RDF's only it would take much less time.

Also, you make it sound like there's only 1 quest you can do in a zone before you get other quests unlocked. There's quests all over the place, many of them doable in groups. And still, like I said, you could entirely skip those and simply kill random mobs and que for RDF's in the meantime, for example.

I agree with what dolcokidol said. You sound like you're planning to clear content and aim to compete for Server first kills and whatnot, but with 2 hours gametime a day this is completely impossible to achieve.

Like I said before, contested quests and mobs on a fresh and highly populated server like Frostmourne are completely normal and part of the game. If you don't have the time needed to compete on this Server (Or even participate in raids with your 2 hours playtime), then maybe one of the other Servers Warmane has to offer are a much better option for you.

So you both agree that respawn times are too high and tell me to literally farm mobs and go RDF.

And now u resorted to personally attack me?

    Did I get it right?

  9. June 9, 2020
No, you didn't get it right. Not at all.

Having a discussion with you about this seems kinda pointless, so I'll leave it at that. Enjoy your stay on Frostmourne.

    Cheers!
