WotLK Character with that name already exists!

Hello! I just started Warmane today and made a Orc Warlock. I joined a guild by the name of MAGA which hosted very friendly people. I had an issue with my Imp where he wouldn't do anything at all and when they told me to just relog, I left the game, rejoined, then I couldn't log back into my character with an error saying "Character with that name already exists" then it would just boot me into the character select screen. It wouldn't be that big of a deal since I was only level 14 but I can't contact the guild again since I wasn't in their discord. Please help me!

Edit: Character is named Farzoth. If you want to contact me in-game I made a new toon named Farloth, who is also an Orc Warlock.

I'm currently experiencing the same issue on all my characters. I joined a VoA raid and said "brb making gems". As soon as I logged out and tried logging any of my chars, this same error pops out all the time. Can't even log the char that's supposed to be in the VoA raid.

Toons are on Icecrown.

Edit: Ok, after some offline time, the issue is magically gone, probably same as OP. Don't ask me how or why.

It probably has to do with d/c without logout.
there used to be an issue, when you d/ced (or alt+f4ed), your character will have issues with chat channels when re-logging. Now when you try to relog, it won't let you log back for few seconds, and then when you do log back, there is no issue with the chat.
