Technical Cannot Login

Hi im new and after starting the wow.exe i entered my credentials and get this:
Unable to connect. Please try again later. If the problem persists contact blizzard suport etc....

So basically i get a "Connecting" window for 15 sec and then this message. Ive been trying for half an hour now so there has to be something wrong
with the login servers?
