1. Cursor Problem

So basically when i launch the game and move my cursor, cursor fades out and comes back really fast, this also causes my frames to drop depending on the speed that i move my cursor, it's really annoying to play with. Somebody also had this problem like 2 years ago but the solutions that players gave him didn't work for me, only time it fixes it for a small time is when i restart my pc. I have over 200 fps on max settings but when i move my cursor really fast game drops to literal 2 fps.

  2. Ye, I have the same problem, I posted my problem on here like 2 days ago but I still got no answers on how to fix it. The only way you can prevent that from happening is by disabling ''Hardware cursor'' in the video settings. I did that but I just cant play without that thing being enabled cuz it makes my cursor movement kinda **** tbh.

  3. The same issue is happening to me since Monday. The cursor flickers whenever I move it, and when I click the cursor resets to the middle of the screen.
When this issue happens I get horrible FPS as well, where I could maintain 90-100 FPS on Dalaran, yesterday I was under 40 while looking up. Also the game keeps stuttering, which is even worse for the framerate.

I remember people talking on my raid group about some Windows Updates that might be causing it, or an upgraded WoW.exe file that is 64-bit compatible and avoids this issue from happening, will get more info on that and let you know.

  4. It looks like a problem with a recent update of the nVidia drivers.

  5. Same issue here, would a solution be to rollback nvidia drivers?

  6. Same problem here. Cursor flickering and cursor movement causing drastic fps drops. I really think this is caused by the latest Nvidia driver since I did not experience any issues before the latest driver. Tried nvidia driver rollback, but did not solve the problem.

  7. So, from what I could test, nVidia drivers rollback also didn't fix the issue, nor patching the WoW.exe file to use more than 2GBs of RAM.
The only solution so far I could find is to deactivate "Hardware cursor" under Video Options. It stops the flickering but also makes the cursor feel weird, I don't know how to explain but you will understand if you try it.

Will keep looking and let you know.

  8. Fix?

Did you guys find a fix to this issue? I'm having the same issue

As I was the 1st one to reply to the original ticket, I've been having the same problems since. The only thing you can do to stop it is to disable the ''Hardware Cursor'' in the video settings. But it just makes your cursor movement kinda weird, so I leave that thing on. The thing I do when I experience it after some playing is to shut down and then start up my pc again, and it just works normal, but again after some time you'll experience the stuttering and fps drops again.

    I hope I helped somehow!

  10. I've had this issue for the past month, and I think i've fixed it.

    1. Go to your NVIDIA Control Panel
    2. Mange 3D Settings
    3. Go to Global Settings, scroll down and enable Vertical Sync to ON.
    4. Then go ingame and enable Vsync

    I hope that helps.

This topic talks about vsync/gsync so I just tested a few things and my method worked for me.

  11. You can also try changing colour settings, and output colour format.

  12. You can also reduce your mouse polling rate which is a temporary small fix.

  13. To completely fix it, rollback your nvidia drivers.
