WotLK Pally dispels my sacred shield at the start of duel

Maybe a noob question here but I'm lost.

I'm a paladin and had a duel with another paladin.
At the start of the duel, he does repent on me, then my sacred shield is dispelled, he pops wings and bursts me. So I need to recast my shield.(he still lost though :p)
How does he dispel my shield and me needing to recast it again? I'm talking about the 1min buff not the absorb buff (there's 2 sacred shield buffs)
He did it twice in our duel.
Also happened to me before vs another paladin as well.

Any clues? thoughts? I have no idea :(
