1. Multibox Ban of ONE Character - Question

    Hello,
maybe someone can help me with that. If a GM or server operator would answer, it would be nice.
I played with 10 chars multiboxing on Burning Crusade - Outland server. Outland has been shut down a while ago. So now i decided to migrate my chars to Frostmourne.
Got them migrated onto Frostmourne, all fine.
Then i wanted to rework my multibox-addon which i used on Outland, cause all the events are different.
So i'm standing in Stormwind, testing the events that come from UNIT_SPELLCAST_START, to process them in the addon.
Suddenly on ONE character, the message "unauthorized software or game modifications detected...." appears, and a minute later - disconnect and ban.

    The thing is:
I multiboxed over a year on Outland without any problems. The multibox program is sending keystrokes to all clients. Thats all. No memory hack or game hack. And multiboxing was always allowed.
And while i was standing in Stormwind, i had 2 clients open - and only 1 was banned.
If anything from my multiboxing program would have caused this ban, it would have been also true for the other account that was running. But the second is still open, nothing happend there.
In the server rules there is a thread about the sentinel anti-cheat:
"Our anticheat checks for evil lua scripts (blizzlike), dbc alterations, hack addons, memory editors that aim to wow executable, etc."
and "Even having a hacking tool running without using it will get you flagged. Any injection to the wow.exe, will result in a ban, as above - without even using it."
Nothing of that is true for me. Again - one char banned, other still open. If the multibox program would have caused this, both accounts would have been banned. And again - i played with this setup over 2 years on outland before.
Due to the fact that there is stated "There are no false positives, lag cannot get you flagged." I wonder, what was causing this ban?

    So my question is:
    How can this be?
If a server developer reads this, it would be nice to get an answer.

  2. Oh - i wonder.... after posting here, i clicked on "My Account" and its now again "In good standing" and no more banned.
And i can log in my char again. Maybe a server admin saw it and realized that this was a false-positive?
Well then, hope it doesn't happen again.

  3. Hm. Now its banned again. Sorry to say, but the statement "There are no false positives" is not true for the sentinel-anticheat software.
