WotLK Is it legal to download/play on Warmane if I'm from Germany?

You should probably avoid doing so in Germany. You could be fine if you pay for a VPN and download and play through it though.

legal? not really, never been and never will in any country.
but that aside i've been on wawrmane for like half a year 1 year ago and again for like 1,5 months now and didn't run into any issues from germany so ar (not using any paid VPN) plus considering there's a full fledged german guild for years now i doubt it's any cause for concern

Downloading would be safer with a VPN if you are planning to use torrents. There have been cases when people in Germany got fines for downloading wotlk client from Warmane.

Playing should be fine without a VPN and many VPN IP addresses are banned by Warmane since they have been used for breaking the rules, especially free VPNs.
