WotLK Login problem

I've been having this issue too.

I've played for 3 years on and off, and this is a completely new and sudden issue. My account is not banned, it's premium and in good standing.

I've been hotspotting my partner's phone to connect to Warmane, which works fine. But whenever I try to log in while connected to my own phone hotspot, it instantly says "Unable to connect", pretty much as soon as I press enter. We have the same internet service provider, which is odd.

I tried using two different computers, and it didn't fix anything... his hotspot always works on both of them and lets me log in, but mine doesn't work on either of them.

My hotspot connection works for everything else... i'm posting this right now, currently connected to my hotspot. I've been browsing the forums and internet for hours. It's only Warmane WoW that doesn't work.

I tried all the fixes on the forums (realm and patch lists, deleting WTF and cache folders, restarting computer, firewall, read-only, file permissions, restarting phone, DNS flush and settings, unplugging the external hard drive WoW is on and plugging it back in... pinging 'logon.warmane.com' comes back alright)... and nothing. None of the threads have helped me, hence why I'm posting here in desperation.

The issue seems to be between Warmane and my phone hotspot.

I've spent hours trying to fix this and I've made 0 progress, which sucks. Anyone have any insights? :(

I had this problem, I managed to solve it only using a VPN, but as it was public, someone previously used it to advertise, and I took an IP ban, so if you're going to use VPN, I believe it has to be a paid one. However, I think there should be another option, because even if the server is good, it's not the only one, I tried to turn to support in my case, but apparently I don't have the right to a ticket.
