I've just been made redundant and it was a pretty high stress job, and as travel is prettty much out of the question, thought I'd play a bit of WoW in my favourite expansion.
I used to raid quite a bit but aside from levelling the odd character here and there, I haven't played WoW since Warlords. How does raiding work on this server?
What else goes on on the server? I'd like to experience other aspects of the game than the old level-raid-level alts-farm gold routine so if anyone has ideas and social guilds I'm very open to joining a friendly community!
Just downloading the client now, undecided on faction/class but in the past I've played mostly Horde as shaman, hunter, paladin or priest. Love healing but open to anything really.
Each time you kill a boss you get a specific ID for that raid/instance. Players in your group get the same ID. The moment you get the ID you can't join other groups for a week until it resets. There's no LFR tool. Groups are made on global chat or in guilds.
Not much else goes on. If you want something else other than level-raid-level do WPvP or join Icecrown - it has weekly custom events held by staff members.
Healing is a good choice - shaman always gets a spot both for 10 and 25 difficulties.
