Hi, so thats kind of a stupid question but how is the procedure when i want to get gear crafted by a blacksmith.
Do i just have to give him the mats and have to trust he doesnt run off with it or how does it work?

Yes, you either find someone trustful (guildmate for example) or buy from AH.
There is also option to have a deal with crafter that if he have materials, you will give him materials + tips in exchange for item you want.

Yep, gotta trust the blacksmith to do the item(s) with your mats. Prefer good friends that you know, or trusted (high rank) guildie(s). I recommend taking screenshots (or better yet, record a video) of the transaction. If it goes to ****s, least you can report the player. Another recommendation is to agree on price before hand, avoid some super cheap ones to be honest. On top of it all, inspect the player, look if they uses crafting related perks. E.g. as BS you should have extra sockets on your gloves and wrists, if they don't have those, double check their armory. See, if they have profession they linked at appropriate level. No profession/lower level than required, obvious scam.
