So I was supposed to be gifted coins to my account but I sent the wrong name. Now the person that sent the coins lost them and the coins were sent to a name too long to even have. It was 180 so I'm pretty bummed out. How can the coins be sent to a character that neither exists nor is possible to name? Anyways, is there anything I can do, this is money I really can't lose. Thanks :(

there is no way to send coins to a character that does not exist.
If that was a real friend, tell him to contact "support team" to find out if it is possible to recover the coins sent to the wrong person: https://www.warmane.com/account -> support -> create ticket -> general enquiry
If that was NOT a friend, most likely you have been scammed.
Scammers fake screenshots.
Like skull said, it couldn't be sent to a name longer than the limit, because such character wouldn't exist.
You also made a mistake, which I guess you didn't realize. You say "this is money you can't lose." How would you be losing money if this was purely a gift someone was giving you?
Don't fall for scammers next time.
Just curious - do you mind sharing the screenshot sent to you as proof? Or at least part of the conversation which apparently happened before he went on to gift you coins.
I'm guessing he scammed me, it is what it is. I couldn't purchase via fasterpay because my cards get declined. I was naive and I guess they're fake. Well. First and last time I'll get scammed I guess.
I don't know what you used in your attempt to buy Coins from a third-party, but on most (or at least many) cases you are able to cancel the transaction within a certain time margin, exactly to protect people from scams. It's worth checking if there's anything you can still do.
