Hello I was not playing for a while and now when I got back to game all my characters are gone.
Is there any way to retrieve them back with gear and achievements? If so what are the steps I need to take.

Greetings gegaaa,
Perhaps you were playing on Frostmourne which is a realm that reset the progress every few months, but luckily you can manually transfer your character from Frostmourne to Icecrown by visiting https://www.warmane.com/account then "Services" Select "Frostmourne S2" and hopefully you'll find your character there.

All of my characters were on icecrown realm. What can I do in this case if you know?

If they were below level 30, they were most likely deleted on inactivity cleanup.
If they were above level 30, and you don't have characters listed when you login, the chances are they were deleted by somebody who had access to your account. Either this was a "friend" or some random whom found out your login info. You can look for suspicious activity via https://www.warmane.com/account/history.
There's still a slight chance you may be able to recover (one character) for free via https://www.warmane.com/account/services by selecting Icecrown as realm and -> Currency: Free -> Character Restoration. Alternatively you can check if there are Characters that can be restored with coins (at least to see if they were deleted [recently]).
Do any of your characters appear on http://armory.warmane.com/?
