WotLK why is my judgement no loner refreshing diving plea?

i play prot paladin, and until very recently my judgements would refresh my divine plea thanks to 'guarded by the light' which renews divine plea 'on hit'... but now the ONLY thing that counts for a 'hit' is a melee atk. in pve this is fine, but for pvp it ruins the spec entirely.

no, it was BROKEN. judgements are a ranged melee HIT. it was always intended to refresh diving plea with you had spec'd for it. that was how it was on retail, and all documentation from when wotlk was current supports this.

great. played my toon on this server for two years, and suddenly now it is absolutely ruined for pvp

I couldn't find any documentation of Protection Paladin players suddenly quitting PvP due to this change in 2009.
Might be a "you" issue.
