WotLK I destroyed a quest item - how can I get it back?

My Paladin was about Level 20 when I talked to Duthorian Rall at the Cathedral of Stormwind the first time. Duthorian Rall gave me two items, both called "Tome of Divinity", I thought this was a bug, so I destroyed one of them - unfortunatelly the one which starts the quest for "Redemption". Duthorian does not talk to me anymore.

So now I am a Level 31 Paladin without Redemption. What can I do, to get the item or the spell?

You need to abandon the quest and backtrack till you find the npc. There isn't anything a GM will do, trust me I tried to get Loremaster YEARS ago and ran into plenty of issues with quests. The gm's say there isn't anything they can do.

That's because they're only supposed to help with core quests when they can't be completed. Vanity achievements/titles aren't a core part of the game but class quests like the Redemption line for Paladins definitely are. It would be best to abandon the quest and try again before opening a ticket and if the bug is new then we would appreciate it being reported.

That is the problem. There is no quest to abandon, because I havn't used the Tome of Divinity before I destroyed it. I got two of them, started one and destroyed the other one.

I just ran over to Goldshire, but Brother Wilhelm just acts like a normal class trainer. No dialog.

Update: I opened a ticket and a GM helped me out. My Paladin can finally resurrect other players.

Hi, I have the same problem, and when I click on the "Tome of Divinity" it says "You have completed that quest". I am now on "Take the Symbol Of Life and Resurrect Henze Faulk in Elwyn." and I do not have the symbol of life. I don't know where to get it. I tried talking to Duthorian Rall again and again but i still can't get the symbol. I need help please
