WotLK I can no longer use Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole

My character is level 79, some time ago I got the necessary reputation with the Kalu'ak to buy the Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole (https://www.wowhead.com/item=44050/m...k-fishing-pole), which I have been using frequently until today because now I get the message "You must reach at level 80 to use that item", I want to know what is the reason for this change, which leaves me with an item that is useless and expensive to obtain.

Interesting. This fishing pole has always been usable by lower levels. If anyone <80 can't equip this item after grinding for it. That is not blizzlike.
