Technical Problems with the chatbox?

A few days ago the chatbox of one of my characters(Lordaeron) stopped showing me when my friends connect, the server and guild messages. I can't see when other players talk, only NPC's dialogues. However, I can hear the notifications. I've logged in other pc to see if there was a problem with my wow client, but it keeps happening. Also, I've checked the WTF folder and I've found that my wow doesn't generate my account folder, not even in the other pc. In the other hand, my other character (in the same realm) doesn't have any problem. I've tried creating another one but the chatbox works normally too.

Just right-click your chat tab and in options choose, what type of messages you want to see

Thanks! It worked for the whisp, I had to join the global channels one by one (even being in stormwind) because they weren't on the list and still can't see when my friends connect :/ I hope the settings don't mess up again
