1. Extremely low GPU load, laptop does not recognise WoW as a game.

    Hello all!
    So, my Lenovo 15IHU6 doesn't understand that WoW is a 3d app. Windows 11, gtx3050 4gb, intel i5 11300H
While Intel Graphics are fully loaded and work as intended with or without WoW client running, gtx 3050 has extremely low load with WoW.
To make it work through discrete VGA I need to switch off integrated VGA through device manager but then the load stucks at about 5% and fps is about 5 also.
The same thing happens to Windows itself - when it uses only Nvidia graphics window pop-up animations and so on begin to have low fps.
There is also a very limited number of changes I can do to a power plan comparing to my old PC. I presume that in case to improve a battery life Lenovo added some automatic VGA and CPU power control which doesn't seem to work fine with Wotlk client.
I've already deleted Lenovo Vantage (driver and power plan manager) but it hasn't helped.
Any ideas how to get rid of this annoying feature or make my laptop understand that WoW is still a game?
Would appreciate any ideas, thank you.

  2. First of all install a proper driver for your 3050.
    Second, enable gpu hardware scheduling.
Third, assign wow.exe to run using 3050 gpu.

Otherwise, you're going in the wrong direction thinking there's something wrong with windows or your laptop. It's a game from 2008. It's mean to run on potatos. So windows decided intel gpu is enough to power this game and it automatically runs it with intel gpu.
