Coins are very expensive to buy, and items cost so much coin per item it's kind of a shame. A long time ago I played a server that had a VP to DP and vice versa system. The value of 10 points would be appropriate to 1 coin given you have to vote on average 10-11days to get 10ish points. Allowing people to actually use their points turning it into coins, would not only increase the amount of people voting, but also the amount of donations... How would turning VP into DP bring in more donations you ask? Simple, 10 days is a long time for just 1 coin, but it'd soon add up, you look on the store and boom that weapon you've been farming for 2 months is on there and your just 10dp away, what are you going to do, collect points for 100 days, or just donate $10 and buy it right away? I know which one I would do, what about you!

If coins are pretty expensive for you to buy you'd be better off focusing your time on your income than the game. That being said, I'd rather farm gold to sell for coins. Turning vp to coins would bring 0 new donations. And also people do use vp mainly for race/faction changes.

Cowmanster unfortunately not every one can be as rich as you and get a well paying job, some people might not be able to work due to disabilities, some might be too young to work, this is not just based on your circumstances. what you would rather do is up to you, i'd rather have a passive way of making some coins while still supporting, and playing a decent server. "Turning vp to coins would bring 0 new donations" how would you know this exactly? just because you wouldnt? I know if I were missing just 10 dp for an item after turning vp into 12 coins, i'd just donate for it, where as if i had to buy the whole 22 coin, i'd be ALOT less enclined to donate for it. Dont get me wrong, I've donated alot already, and I probably still will in the future, I'm just using my brain to come up with creative ideas on how we can better the system and thus, the server.

Pretty sure that this has been denied before. In any case if you need coins you have the trade system. You just have to farm gold.

Not going to happen. Donations are what support our servers and keep them running, points do exactly nothing for us, it's just something we do for players (they haven't been "votes" for many years). If you can't donate you have the option of getting the items by playing the game normally.
