Wow + vlc

Hello Guys,

I keep stumbling upon this issue.

When playing WOW (windowed) and wathicng a movie on VLC I get a drop of about 15-20 FPS.
This does not happen all the time, only some videos have this, or it may just start at the middle of a movie fort whatever reason.

My Specs:
CPU 3700x
GPU 1080
RAM 48GB
Storage M2.0 nVME

Screens
2 60hz Dell - Secondary screens
1 75hz Asus - Main screen

Have you stumbled on this issue yourselves?
I remember fixing it my playing with the VLC settings, but can't remember...

That depends on the codec that was used to encode the video. If the codec is too modern and your computer can't decode the movie on hardware it decodes it on software which takes a lot of power which isn't thus available to the game.
