WotLK Is changing name will affect your DKP

Hi, I'm planning to change my name, but I'm worried that I lose my DKP, I just want to know if changing the character Name will lose the DKP, that's all

"DKP" is a guild thing, it has nothing to do with Staff. We don't encourage, enforce or regulate any of it.

You have to talk with your guild master about this, this has nothing to do with the server.

No, maybe.

If rename doesn't affect your guild notes, and the DKP amounts are marked there, I don't see how they would be gone. DKP addon relying on this would only need to be updated. Alts would need to be linked to new character name however.
If it does, or the DKP is listed elsewhere based on your in-game name, your DKP would be "lost" until a officer of the guild would've transferred (copypaste) the amounts under the new name.

So, before you do anything, at least take picture of your DKP amounts, and notify an officer what you're about to do, so they can record the DKP amounts as well.
