I believe that the Isle wpvp zone would be much better if 3 man groups were increased to 5 man and cooldown reset items were removed. The World pvp zone has become more about ganking than pvp. Because of the 3 man group limit everyone mainly just groups with 2 other people they know, never giving new players a chance to join a group. I have played isle alot since it was brought back. It may seem that alot of people are there, but they are the same players creating a stale environment all the time. I have not seen any new players return. When new/lower geared players try to fight they swiftly get ganked by the greater number/geared players. I think it would be much better allowing 5 man groups because it would give everyone more chances to make new friends and have fun pvp. It would give a tremendous amount of more comp variations. In the most populated time for hours at a time, I never see any 3v3s. Its is usually 8 v 3s because like I mentioned no pool of new players to group with. Even if there were players to choose from, you would have to message someone you don't even know to help you. A 5 man group would make this much more seamless. At the same time you would not be able to use your support spells, and all of your AOE damage and cc would hit them (your new allies) and kill them too. Many classes rely on aoe cleaving to win fights like Ret, Dk, Warrior, Boomkin. Aoe cc such as psychic scream, frost mage novas/roots, hunters traps, shadowfury, typhoon and dk, war aoe snares all will hit your own friends and team or you cannot use them greatly weakening alot of classes. There are usually about 10 rogues in isle that just gank players. They pop all of their cooldowns (preparation, shadow dance, etc) and fap potions then run around to cooldown resets to do it again. Almost no one else uses cooldown reset tokens besides rogues looking to unfairly gank people. I think they should be removed and replaced with more speed boost and health/mana regen buffs as they can quickly tactfully be used offensively to reach an enemy or defensively to survive without being so overbearing like the cooldown reset buff. The Berserker and Shadowsight buffs are also balanced as is. There are never so many to where it becomes overpowered. Gurubashi was a great world pvp zone with a 40 man group limit. The problem was 2-3 guilds completely abusing it. They would make a group of 10-20 full geared players and completely dominate the zone by sheer numbers for hours everyday not allowing the maybe 5-8 other players to pvp effectively killing the zone. The raid gankers still go to the zone so they would do the same if the 40 man groups were brought back. Even after Isle came back they would abuse multiple bugs to make their raid groups again to 15v5. Thankfully the bugs were fixed. 5 man groups like 5v5 were always the best fights for the large open world pvp zone. You could do things like 5 v 10 with skill. Now that would be impossible because it would 3+2 vs 10. Its simply too easy to kill a group of 2 instantly with a number disadvantage; they can't be healed or supported well. 5 man groups and removal of cooldown reset tokens would make the zone much better for new and old players and only nerf the current Gank "pvp" meta in world pvp.
It is good for the server as a whole if World pvp is enjoyable. At times it has been a large amount of the playerbase. A few years ago hundreds of players (including alot of new players) would go to Gurubashi everyday. You could end up playing with 5 different healers in 2 hours. Now you are lucky to find 1 healer in 2 hours.
