For some reason I can't collect the points when I go to my profile, it says I have no points to collect, how can I solve this problem?

In order to collect Points, you need to have 1000 unique achievement points on your account.

No. It is there and can be used as shhnedo explained above.

What was removed was voting, which we didn't need anymore, plus ranking sites were revealed to not care much about honesty and real votes.

Damn. I remember i had 2 characters with definitely more than 1k achievements and could'nt click the button. What exactly is unique achivements in this case?

Well, simplest explanation would be - it's not the sum of all your chars' achievement points, nor does the system count achievement earned on multiple chars multiple times(two Level 80 chars with Level 80 achievement won't count twice, it's the same achievement).
If you take your main char and make it an achievement whore, you just keep track of that char's achievements and keep stacking them up. Check its armory page too. When you go past 1k on that char, you should be good to go.
