I suggest to put a hitbox on the AH npc from dala, people just sit on it and can't even click.
In return, i suggest to each player to start putting effort, instead of running to forum with any possible thing that bothers them and makes want to complain to parents.
Otherwise: zoom in using mouse wheel > click. Problem solved.
First of all you shouldn't talk to me with those maners "Forum Veteran", second I have like 8 years of experience in this server, I know perfectly how to try to click on the npc zooming in and sometimes, there is so much people that you can spend some minutes trying to click on the npc even with zoom.
"Forum veteran" means nothing, no benefits or anything else
But here on site it mostly marks person who is either solid author of guides or someone who stands as Dev Team bulwark against mindless complains and demands from "regular" players (who surprisingly have two common things: lack of reasoning and reading skills).
As 8 year veteran you should know by yourself that administration intervenes into player created scenarios only in critical situations, and some non-bright players that stay ontop of AH NPC in Dalamare surely don't fall into such category.
Pull up friendly nameplates -> click the nameplate of the AH npc. Problem solved.
I was happy back when the ah npc had a certain size box around it, even if it was short-lived, but since it disappeared after a few weeks, I figured eh, might as well use the nameplate. Strangely enough, a lot of mailboxes can no longer be jumped on, and those are a lot easier to come by than one singular npc in a crowded room. x)
This is a good answer and not the other guy trying to sound better than others, thank you for your time, your solution and your response.
What shhnedo said, or:
Keybind "Interact with Character" to e.g. 'K'.
/target Brassbolt
Press 'K'.
???
Yeah, I'd also like for it to be easier to click on. Yes, sometimes AH is flooded and you can't even see the robo gnome. In Blackrock there are goblin vendors with a solid hitbox that isn't possible to pass through. I also do the friendly nameplates select thing, but I think it'd be much better and faster to just always somehow see the guy. I second this request.
Why should we need macro's to click on specific NPC's?
Just make the hit box easier to click on.
Player QOL get's pooped on anytime a player asks for improvements to basic mundane functions by all the "forum veterans".
Target the people around the npc, then click on their target (the AH) (target of target) and the default keybind is the keyboard Button ? or one next to the ? Button to open the window for auctionhouse vendor.
Thats not a macro, you have a keybind ingame allready, you can change it to whatever you want, for me the default is what I wrote above, its a keybind to "interact", to open the Window or page to buy stuff from npc's.
Because we, the "forum veterans", can get **** done on our own. We don't rely on our moms and dads to make everything easy for us. We don't need to waste GM's time when we know game mechanics to easily bypass few annoying players.
Do note that none of us "forum veterans" are against this area for the AH NPC.
The suggestion isn't new, and according to shhnedo, there was invisible wall around the NPC. Either it was removed for a reason, or it was accidentally removed. Suggestions that are good, gets implemented. If this suggestion is one of those, then you don't really have to worry now do you. If it isn't, well, you got few options how to deal with it written here.
Or just make the AH NPC larger so he stands above every player. The in-game solutions offered are simple, but creating a "fix" would prevent this topic from ever being posted again. More time is spent dismissing these suggestions than the time it would take for devs to improve it.
There's not much room to scale him up. Doesn't stop Taurens/bears to sit and stand on him anyway.
