1. Wintergrasp Faction Balance

    Hey,

Is there any way to get close to a balanced faction ratio in Wintergrasp? I mean as a Horde player I barely do the weekly once a... week or twice if lucky, or mining/farming is quite frustrating as you have to look over your shoulder from second to second...

Is there any way to increase the guards around Horde's base camp to at least maintain the NPC's alive or to limit the Alliance MBoxers at some point?

I understand that "Ally is better" for PvP but that does not mean it's fair to have a dominance ration of 9:1 for the Alliance all the time. Right?

I mean if I choose to PvP on the Horde side, should I be doomed for not having a chance to get full pvp gear before 2024 comes?

    Thank you! :)

  2. there is practically no workaround that can balance the faction in pvp, cz its basically up to the players themselves. npc guards have little to no impact to your safety in open world pvp like wg, u'll always be killed at any other spots anyway.
i can only suggest that you swap to alliance for awhile for pvp purposes, finding arena partner or booster is also much easier on alliance side if you plan to get the WF sets, then switch back to horde when u have all u need. imo its worth the vote points cz it'll take less time and healthier than doing it on the horde side.

  3. From what I've seen, the closer for the Horde to win the match, the more Alliance Mboxers appear... I mean, what's going on? It's like there is no Wintergrasp option for Horde on Icecrown at all. Isn't that a bit abusive?

  4. Well, it's a competitive PvP open area. Is it surprising that the Alliance players want to keep it in their hands?
I have zero doubts the Horde would do the exact same if they had the means to.

  5. Totally agreed however the Horde does not have any chance even to break the ice and pop their heads up at least to see the sun over the roof. Or perhaps I am not there to see the Horde winning but getting so many defeats tends to make a player be frustrated and ultimately give up. So goes the chain effect.

  6. While understandable, that isn't something that can be "fixed" without blatantly favoring a faction to give it power the players simply don't have. Would you feel it's fair to get artificially boosted to "have a chance" on a situation that was created by the players themselves? What's the point of struggling for supremacy if the result is just being handicapped for it?

  7. Perhaps limiting Mboxers only for a certain number of matches per day? xD

  8. I doubt that would be considered, since Horde also has/can have multiboxers.
Plus I'm skeptical that just removing multiboxers would solve it.

  9. I remember when the top arena team was orc warrior with oathbinder just to show the racial with 1 pve trinket is not as huge as people make it sound to be, also shadowmourne being the only reason etcetc, truth is, people go horde for pve and alliance for pvp, and it's sucha well known question that people that dont even play wow knows this, if you go alliance pug raids vs horde pug raids you will se it very clear aswell, just like bg's, not because racials, but because the general intrest of the content people want to play. Alliance have more pvp oriented population and Horde have more pve oriented.

  10. Tweaking how fast Tenacity stacks, or the buff itself?

That would seemingly only benefit the losing side, and would never favor one faction particular, only the one that has long(er) losing streaks. Which should mean there's a better chance to balance WG ownership.

  11. Well in any case. it's a huge disadvantage for the Horde to gear up faster by winning WSG tand there are a lot of PvPers there as well as there are on the Alliance. Yeah, perhaps Ally has some more but still the Horde has enough. Today again, two groups of MBoxers came, most of the Horde players were like f*** that... and give up. That's the game.

  12. It's a sad situation but Wintergrasp is unplayable. Always has been since it was implemented. They really, really should turn it into a bg.

  13. to be fair, this happens on both side. always started by one of those feuding multiboxers from both side, then passerby pvpers join or caught in the crossfire.

  14. Wish I could see Mboxers from both sides in order to have a fair share of winnings on both Horde any Ally so everyone could be happy.
