1. So loot bans are against TOS

Did you know loot banning players is against warmane TOS? If someone loot bans you in a raid report them and they will be banned.
This is something I didn't know and like the majority of the server's raid leaders is how I led most of my raids. Learn something new everyday.

    OP Question:
If I want to run a raid how I see fit and do what I feel is necessary to ensure raid success, is this possible? Is there anything at all I can do to make myself the sole-proprietor of my own raids?

  2. That's simple logic, isn't it?

  3. Usually people who get loot banned are trolls and *****s who wipe the raid, e.g. ice-tombing everyone on sindi.

But it's good to know its against the TOS, now any raid leader won't lootban a two-digit iq ****** as a punishment for wiping a raid, but instead will kick them out - this way not only will they waste an ID, but won't see any loots either (since loots are only rolled at the very end)

  4. Can you point out why exactly loot banning is against ToS?

  5. It probably counts as "changing rules mid raid". Have to inform players before start that they can get lootbanned "at leaders discretion". Something like that.

  6. I wonder if "if you join my raid I may or may not ban you from rolling depending on whether I feel like it" would be considered ninja looting.

  7. Sounds like it should be ok, if everyone is informed properly before start and they stay.

This isn't an appeal, I've already been denied all possible hopes of an appeal. This is just a forewarning
    Here you go:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QP7a5JxjK4s <---- Video on getting banned over loot banning a player

https://imgur.com/a/l9XRFeu <--- Picture of the raid rules posted and showcased every single raid.

My raid rules macro used every single raid:
/rw Raid Rules: MS > OS, Loot distribution and Loot bans are based on Master Looter's discretion, The Raid Leader has 100% power over the raid. Guild Rules apply to guild members. .Class, Pre-bis+BiS prio WILL be CONSIDERED (not promised), Trolling will be severely punished. Reserves: NON-BOP loot, + whatever I'm going to reserve that run

I was banned because I used loot bans in my raid, loot banning a player who failed the tactics and trolled the raid after claiming to know the tactics, being the sole reason for multiple wipes.

You'll get banned for this too. You can't kick any player out of the raid if they were there when the loot dropped until that loot is rolled off.

As my previous post shows and the army of screenshots I have showcases my raid rules, I inform all players that loot bans are based on the master looters discretion. It did not protect me from a ban. If a player is present on a loot drop you are forced to roll it off for them regardless of all other factors.

I wonder if "if you join my raid I may or may not ban you from rolling depending on whether I feel like it" would be considered ninja looting.
At the master looter's discretion is very clear though, if you need a loot ban you'll get a loot ban. That's how my raid rules worked for 5 years without a ban. This sudden dynamic shift in bans is unfortunate and players will now receive bans if they loot ban other players in raids. If an item drops it has to be rolled off before the player is allowed to be kicked, no matter how badly they're trolling, griefing, failing tactics or otherwise.

Sounds like it should be ok, if everyone is informed properly before start and they stay.
It is not ok, as you can clearly see my ban was given even through tons and tons of advertising of my raid rules, of the fact that my raid rules have been used for the past 5 years and that I've raid led the same way for 5+ years on warmane. If an item drops it has to be rolled off before the player is allowed to be kicked, no matter how badly they're trolling, griefing, failing tactics or otherwise.

  10. You have a good answer in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QP7a...aABAg#comments (highlighted comment)

  11. Oh wow, then what should work is "all loot is reserved". Since reserving items is completely fine.

If it's as you say, this is completely unjust, infringing on players decisions, because someone withdrew their consent in the next day.

  12. I'm surprised anyone would join a raid that has SCAMSCAMSCAMSCAMSCAM written all over it in the first place, but still, that "Loot distribution and Loot bans are based on Master Looter's discretion" bull**** aren't clear loot rules at all, it's the most lemme-scam-ya vague thing anyone could come up with. If you want to enforce that sort of thing there should be very definite and clear guidelines for WHAT this "discretion" is based on, so players are fully informed of what is expected of them, can make an informed decision whether they are capable of fulfilling that, and have no chance of being denied loot because you wanted to favor someone else or just "felt like it."

  13. Whats wrong with such rules, everyone is informed and it's clear that any loot can be denied with no reason and trusts leader to split it fairly. Why should players who work hard give loot to scammers, who got in raid by lying that they know what to do?

You are defending parasites who want to leech off of this guys guild and they can not do anything about it. I think it's is very respectable to be known as a great guild, if you go with them and do your part you will have all chances to get loot. But if you are parasitic scum liar you will not get anything, so don't bother trying to scam.

I think it's exemplary way of doing things.

  14. everyone is informed and it's clear that any loot can be denied with no reason
Do you even read what you type?

  15. So you think there are no players who would agree to that?
Maybe you can honestly answer this, which one would you join?:

    1. Join random unknown leader and you have an option to report him after you GET NOTHING.
    2. Join reputable player in reputable guild and trust his judgement to split the loot fairly and protect you from ticks. You will practically get guaranteed chance on loot, if you do your part in raid properly.

I can guarantee you that every single player who knows what to do in game ill join option 2.
