Technical my account was deleted?

I have been gone from the game since 2019, recently got some time to come back and play every now and then.
go to log in to my account and it says it has sent me an authenticator code that never came to my email, i resend and resend to no avail.
Decide to test something and make a new account with my email and it doesn't error out saying there is already an account with that email, im guessing that my old account has been deleted? does that sound right?

Accounts do not get deleted. Either you were hacked and the hacker changed the email address on the account or you are misremembering the email address.
