I have tried pretty much everything, when I start downloading from utorrent it says that there is no1 uploading..
Any1 else have had same issue?
I've downloaded 3 different private servers wotlk client and it always stops at authenticating, then disconnects.
And yes I have changed realmlist, played on warmane since day one. I know the drill.
Everything works well on my home computer but not on laptop.
Any help plez?
EDIT 1.
Now it shows that there is 187 ppl uploading but doesnt connect to any1.. I just wanna go lvl up my druid at Onyxia.
EDIT 2.
I got in, ping was +3000ms, got kicked out probably because of high ping and now can't get in anymore.
Done everything same as I did when I got in, also switched from work internet to my phone internet, nothing seems to work.
Firstly, regarding the issue with uTorrent, it's possible that the specific torrent you're trying to download isn't well-seeded, meaning there aren't many people sharing it. This can result in slow or stalled downloads. Have you tried using a different torrent for the game client?
For the issue with the private servers, it's good to hear that you've changed the realmlist and are familiar with the setup process. Since everything works fine on your home computer but not on your laptop, it could be a network or firewall issue. Sometimes antivirus programs or firewalls can interfere with the connection to private servers.
Only difference is that I have windows 10 on home computer and windows 11 on laptop, I use windows on firewall and antivirus wich I'm not familiar with.
Any tips with those?
Firewall Settings:
1. Go to Settings by clicking on the Start button and selecting the gear icon.
2. In the Settings window, select "Privacy & Security" or search for "Firewall & network protection."
3. Check if the firewall is turned on. If it's not, turn it on.
4. Scroll down to "Allow an app through firewall" and click on it.
5. Make sure that both the game client and the launcher are allowed through the firewall. If they're not listed, you can add them by clicking on "Change settings" and then "Allow another app."
6. Browse and select the game client and launcher executables. They're usually located in the installation folder.
7. Make sure both "Private" and "Public" boxes are checked for these apps.
Antivirus Settings:
1. Windows 11 comes with Windows Security as its built-in antivirus solution. You can access it by typing "Windows Security" in the search bar and selecting the app.
2. In Windows Security, go to "Virus & threat protection."
3. Check if Real-time protection is turned on. It should be on by default.
4. Scroll down to "Exclusions" and click on it.
5. Add the game client folder and launcher executable to the list of exclusions. This prevents the antivirus from scanning these files, which can sometimes interfere with their operation.
6. You can also try temporarily disabling the antivirus to see if it resolves the issue, although remember to re-enable it afterward.
Fixed, found working client
All I needed to do was change realmlist to set realmlist logon.warmane.com and now all works perfectly.
Also didn't do any of those firewall or virus protection things, wanted to check this client before going.
Thanks for your time and help Ezrage, I hope others can get some help from this thread too.
