is the dungeon limit account wide?

hi i got the you have entered too many instances recently message on a char today but the number of instances i had entered was 1 (plus the one i was trying to enter when i received the message)

blizzards limit for wotlk classic should be 5 instances per hour and 30 per day but this should be per char
i dont know what the original wotlk limits where i dont think i had ever got a message when i was playing then
and i know its bugged here since in another occassion i ve received the message while trying to res in a dungeon (which obviously shouldnt count towards the limit since its the same instance)
but is it account wide too here? meaning if i had entered some instances with another char then all the chars will be locked?
im pretty sure that this is what happened because the reason i logged back on this char was that i got the message on another char (the other char had indeed reached the limit so its fine)

Hi, yes, you have 5 dungeons or instances per account per hour. That was blizzlike.

thnx i just confirmed that it was indeed per account in the original wotlk instead of per char as it is in wotlk classic
BUT
i also confirmed that
RDF completely ignored this limit :)
(that would explain how i had never gotten the message when i was playing back then)
so the limit per account is blizzlike but counting RDF its not blizzlike (i got the message from RDF and its not the first time either)
