WotLK Can't restore a character.

A character has been deleted by mistake. Since there's a 2 day grace period I tried to restore it, but it said that I already have 10 active toons on Icecrown, even tho I actually have 7/10 and 3 free slots. I moved 4 more toons to the Barracks, but the message did not change.
GM Cairner said there is nothing they can do, which I find hard to believe. Any solutions?

Is the service still offering the restore, but giving the message, or is it expired by now?

The service is still free, yes, and the "You already have 10 active characters on Icecrown" message is still there.

What's the total of characters you have in Icecrown, active, barracks, in trade? If that total is beyond 10, I guess that could be the reason, if not, I think there's nothing that can be done, as GM Cairner already stated.

That's one reason you should pay close attention when deleting a character.

The total number of characters is 11/50, only 4 toons are currently active.
So, you're saying that the website is lying to players?
6.4 DK now lost forever and can't be recovered, even tho the toon is ON the list of recoverable characters?

I guess the restoration service checks the amount of Icecrown characters. Since it's 11, not 9, it doesn't let you restore. Or there's something else "wrong" with it.

EDIT: I tested this myself. 9 active characters, 1 at barracks. Can't restore a character because "You already have 10 active characters on Icecrown".

I had to delete 2 characters to recover the one I needed.
The issue is fixed, but that whole system is badly designed.
