Realms BGs gear checker

Hello everyone,

I know that there are split pools for BGs (at least on Icecrown realm), which are split by the GS of the player. My understanding is (and please correct me if Im wrong), that the BG finder is checking the currently equipped gear (on start of the search also before it will offer you a BG) for its gear score.

Thing is, that there are players who are getting into the BG with wrath gear + some blue items so their overall GS is pretty low, but thanks to wrath gear they have set buffs + resilience on wrath level. Maybe even (I didn't tested this) they will take off their gear and put it up in BG.

My suggestion is to a) every time player equips gear, it will check if GS is higher than it was before and if so it will send new max GS of his char to database, from which the BG will take data and check them so players will be put in right BG pool. b) Split players based on their kills/total honor or even better make for everyone his own ELO rating (considering his kills/deaths/dmg/heals/time played) so the BG are more equal and fun.

Because It sucks to get 1 retri pala and 1 resto druid to STOMP the whole BG with 60+ kills and dmg that's 3x higher than 2nd best dmg dealer in BG. They are just farming honor and in my opinion its against the spirit of the game and it punishes low geared players even more.

No, it isn't based on "GS," nothing about the game uses "GS." The game uses item level.
And also no, it isn't based on equipped gear, it takes into account even items in returned mail.

Still, if you find characters that are in fact going around the bracket limits somehow (not simply you thinking "GS" and being wrong about what bracket someone should be in), feel free to PM me their names and server.
