I'd like to ask for advice. I tried soloing the Zul'gurub raptor boss as MM hunter (6.1gs), following the video from yt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsitFMlCX58

However, in spite of multiple tries, I had not succeeded. Maybe there are some mechanics that I do not understand, or maybe I'm doing something wrong.

I used raiding MM spec, reglyphing Glyph of the Hawk into Glyph of Mending (or whatever the name is) and additional minor glyph of feign death. Swapped the wolf pet for turtle pet with defensive talents. My damage output doesn't seem to be the problem, nor does the dmg from the boss on my pet.

The fight on the video looks very smooth and I can't seem to replicate it, the boss always retargets on me and I can't understand why. I suspect this is somehow related to the threatening gaze mechanic - and I would like to understand how to play around it, because I'm clearly doing something wrong, I think. Every now and then will run up the stairs trying to retarget onto me, ending up evading attacks and resetting. Feing death or shadowmeld do not seem to help, once it starts to run towards my char.

Can someone advise?
