I notice that since few days ago the amount you receive per quest is less than used to be.
The quests that gave 45-47 gold now give 33-31, the quests that gave 81 now give 60, also the bags from dailies quest from tournament used to give 30 gold and now give 20.
I dont see anything written about that, or is something that has come to stay, or is some kind of bug?.
It's not the first time this has happened unannounced. Consider this a hint that they want you to earn gold trough trading instead of printing gold with quests.
A bummer if you rely on quest rewards because the economy (gold trade on website and AH prices) will take a very long time to adapt, at least until months after the next gold squish. Yeah, there is nowhere anything written up about it. It's been like this from at least the 14th. Rumour and conjecture has it Icecrown should have 3x gold. Now look at this pic of three different values listed ingame. It's confusing. Real value used to be 47g90s last couple of years. https://i.imgur.com/jUQ6Bbw.jpeg
I just noticed this change too, I really don't understand the reason to do that, it will only complicate even more the obsession for money, as there is a lot of competition for the resources of the professions due to the amount of players and their appearances. At least this was safe money to invest in decently equipping your character. I only see one reason for this change and that is to induce the idea to some players who don't want to complicate their lives in the tremendous battle for resources on the server by buying Gold directly.
Surprised that this isn't more discussed in the forums, and very surprised by the lack of announcement.
Can confirm, raid boss gold loot table has been cut what seems to be around one third. I assume that this is all gold sources in-game.
Nothing against the change, on the opposite, will battle current inflation to an extent and make in game gold sinks such as mounts etc etc slightly more "valuable" tools, in combination with the yearly celebrated squish.
