I’ve been receiving a message in game about Warmane Louncher in the link warmane.app and the message says that we will receive 30 coins for download it, it’s true?

Out of curiosity, does anyone know what to do if you download a virus like this?
Is a simple system scan with an antivirus like Malwarebytes enough?

first, always unplug your network cable.
windows defender + optional malwarebytes or smth. like sophos scan&clean should be enough.
change all your passwords, preferably on a different device than the "infected" pc.

if you want to be 99% sure (u can never be 100% sure as the virus could already be on your system for ages but never activated itself), do a clean windows install.

If you download it but don't run it then there is no issue. Simply remove the file to avoid executing it accidentally.

what if i tried to turn it on but got an error that prevented it from turning on? Immediately after that I deleted the files and scanned the computer with Windows Defender + Malwarebytes. (From what I can see it didn't detect anything, I also didn't find anything suspicious in the win processes)

What error? If it was the smartscreen warning and you clicked no then it is as if you had not run it at all.

I mean the error when running this file, not the windows warning. I don't remember exactly what the error was. (I don't want to check again either :D)
And like I said, I immediately deleted the files, scanned my computer with two programs, looked through Windows processes and found nothing suspicious.

Is there a chance that the virus simply "didn't work"?

I will also add that I did not put the files in the game directory, maybe that was the reason the program did not start?

I don't know, but understand that some viruses show a fake error screen when they are launched, so an error screen does not mean that the virus did not work.
