1. Are we seriously allowing Alli to transfer to Horde for 30 points? RIP Alliance.

Did you seriously decide this was a good idea? The faction imbalance is at least 2:1 pre-transfer. Now that Alli can transfer to Horde, Alli is going to get much worse. How could this possibly have been thought of as a good idea?

  2. True, now it will be 90% horde 10% ally

  3. That is nuts lol... 40%~ alliance was actually feeling acceptable, and they somehow thing this is a good idea

  4. Why should players who wanna switch faction be stuck having a dull time though?

The Horde - Alliance ratio right now is insane, it's at least 2:1, possibly closer to 3:1. Being Alliance and questing or gathering in the open world is deadly. You're constantly getting killed, not just by individuals but large groups.

By allowing people to transfer for free, it will incentivize more Alliance to switch to Horde, making it worse for those that stick around.

What SHOULD have happened is they should have locked new Horde character creation, and only allowed Horde -> Alli transfers to help balance the factions.

In essence now, the server is becoming more and more like a PvE server (for most players, since the vast majority are Horde) and the few remaining Alliance are in a super negative downward spiral of bad PvE (not enough players) and bad PvP (being massively outnumbered).

It was just a bad idea to open transfers.

At the very least, it should have been delayed until alliance drops further down, because there are still enough people to group with. Odd that they completely chose to forsake alliance immediately, as opposed to their first TBC server where they tried everything to delay the drop.
