WotLK Item missing

Hello! I lost a valuable item, my staff "Halion, Staff of Forgotten Love" item level 258.
I came to the city to buy a cloak, left for a few minutes and came back, and I don't have the staff. Please help me figure this out.
Perhaps it was sold or disenchanted without my knowledge(
Please return the staff to me if possible, I won it fairly by killing the Lich King.

Check mail, but if it's not there or in your bags/bank, you have to obtain it again in-game.

Quickest way to see if it's somewhere in your possession is by pressing and holding ALT when mouseovering your weapon slot. You may wanna do this in bank too (bank opened) to see if it's somewhere there instead of bags.

It's not in the bags, it's not in the bank, it's not anywhere. It was either sold or was sold out.

If you bought it for coins, you can open "item missing" ticket here on site. Otherwise you are out of luck, it's gone forever.

I was told that if the item was accidentally disenchanted or sold, it can be restored or contacted for support and it will be returned. There have already been such cases.

You can have items restored if you bought them for coins. Nice and clean evidence in your account history.
Maybe they would restore lost shadowmourne, since you have completed quest. You could even try to restore items bought with points, even if points don't have support, maybe they have time and are in a good mood.
But realistically speaking, they will not go and look for 3 hrs in some log(if they even log that) where you put some random item. They have clearly stated they are not doing that.
