Addon to remove or replace Gun sounds?

Greetings!

Does anyone know of any addon or mod that can remove or replace the gun sounds? I for one hate the loud noise so I completely avoid using guns.
I know there used to be an addon that did that, but it seems to be incompatible with Warmane stuff?

Any suggestions?

Hey RahGah !

I'm using a gun silencer mod that changes the default sound of the gun (loud bang) into a silencer noise, like firing a gun with a suppressor :)
Has a very pew-pew feel to it.

If you ever played Counter strike and remember the M4A1 with the silencer, you remember the pew-pew sound ?
It's exactly that :)

I have it installed, working just fine on Warmane, Lordaeron realm.

Hi!
I came across that mod when I was trying stuff, I didn't find a way to make it work, how the hell do you install that?
I literally put it in all kinds of folders and tried different things and I couldn't get it to work at all, what's the secret?

Open the zip file, there is a Sound folder. Extract it inside your wow's Data folder. The result should be Data -> Sound -> Item... etc

Like I previously said, I basically tried putting that folder everywhere at this point, it doesn't work. At this point is there's a problem it's because I pasted the folder onto too many directories XD

Listen, i tried everything, just like you, i don't know what i did but if worked :)

I also tried folders inside folders, all that stuff.

So just to make it simple for you, i'll just send you the Sound folder that i'm using and works.

Also, what i was able to notice from your screenshot is, the files you have are ogg files ( they have the extension .ogg) while the files i'm using are WAV files (they have the .wav extension)

Maybe this is why it wasn't working, i dunno, but i hope the files i sent you will work for you.

!!! [ SOLVED ] !!!

Converting the files in the mod to .wav did the trick.
Knowing this now I can even apply my own custom sounds!


The directory was indeed World of WarcraftDataSoundItemWeaponsGun
