I’ve been playing on Blackrock off and on for a few years, and over the past few months, it’s become a near-daily experience for me.
First, let me start by saying that Warmane is probably the best Wrath server available. As someone who has been an avid Wrath of the Lich King player since its original release in 2008, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the expansion over the years. I’ve cleared every piece of heroic content multiple times, and I’ve experienced the entirety of Wrath Classic, including every season, from start to finish.
With nearly 20 years of World of Warcraft experience under my belt and a PvP rating that ranged between 2.3 and 2.7 in Wrath Classic, I’d like to think I have a solid perspective on PvP gameplay. However, my goal here isn’t to discuss my PvP credentials.
What I really want to address is the state of Blackrock and competitive PvP as a whole.
To put it bluntly, the scripting and cheating in competitive PvP on this server are out of control. It’s become so brazen and shameless that it’s genuinely sickening. What’s worse is that the moderation team appears to be doing nothing to address the issue. It’s disheartening to see such neglect, and it’s downright tragic that I can’t even enjoy the expansion I’ve loved for so many years because the core of its player base feels so irreparably toxic.
