WotLK Characters flagged for inactivity rename?

So I have 36 characters. I cycle through playing them.

Some of these I only played just over a month ago according to guild logs, but they're still flagged for the inactivity cleanup rename when trying to log into them.

No one else has claimed the names - but it says Name Unavailable if I try to name it the same thing.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

(To clarify, my characters are spread across two accounts. So far it seems mainly the ones on my second account.)

Came back recently and noticed same thing on some of my characters, I don't think my names were offensive or anything and my profile shows "Account status: In good standing". Would be nice to know what the reason was since I'm premium account and never had this problem before.

Same problem here. I log into my chars like 1-2 months ago and everything was fine. But now, i cant enter to any of them, for some reason. And it force me to rename all of them. They all have regular names(nothing criminal and illegal) like Metalbeast, Mooranta, Fluffybeast etc. Any advice?

Warmane made some kind of mistake here or is it intended i do not know. However, if i have to rename all of my characters, i might as well kiss warmane goodbye

I have the same issue. Decided to log into Lordaeron. My character is flagged for rename, and when I try to put in the same name, says "That name is unavailable", yet noone is using it on armory except my character. And the name is not offensive or anything in absolutely no way.

It has happened the following case to me. I was looking for a suitable name for a character and came up with one which was used by a level 3 abandoned toon. I waited right after name cleanup in case the name could be freed, which was the case, and created the toon with it the same day.

I've logged today and to my surprise the recent character is flagged as all of yours, its name has been placed again into that level 3 unused chaaracter (keeps showing 0 activity in the armory) while mine has the placeholder one expecting a rename. What's going on? Is there any explanation about this?
